Job summary

Shane Co. is seeking a bench jeweler in California to perform settings, sizing, re-tipping, welding, soldering, polishing, engraving, cleaning, and related tasks up to Shane Co. standards. Ideal candidates work well in a fast-paced, results-driven shop, build relationships with customers, and embrace Shane Co. values.

You will collaborate with store staff, maintain safety, and use shop tech like computers and iPads for tracking and project management. Evening/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bench experience preferred
• Evening and weekend availability required
• High level of visual acuity and manual dexterity
• Ability to give and receive feedback with coaching
• Comfortable with technology and basic math

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of merchandise and provide accurate assessments
• Keep shop and workspace clean and organized
• Provide cost estimates for personalization options
• Maintain findings inventory
• Consult with staff and customers to meet needs
• Follow safety protocols for shop equipment and chemicals
• Pursue personal and shop improvement
• Use computers and iPads for shop tracking
• Collaborate with store staff and home office when needed
• Support other shops and projects
