Job summary

Asurion Insurance Services in Smyrna, TN is seeking a Bench Jeweler to service and repair clients' jewelry with top quality and timely turnaround. The role requires skilled stone setting, laser welding, and experience using a microscope, with opportunities to grow through ongoing training and advancement.

The position offers competitive pay ranging from $24 to $35 per hour based on experience, plus a $2,400 sign-on bonus for bench jewelers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience in jewelry repairs.
• Proficient in sizing, chain repair, prong and stone setting repairs, stone tightening, shank work and polishing.
• Experience with laser welding and reading repair instructions.
• Must be organized and able to communicate with others; able to pass a bench test.
• High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of invisible set repairs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair clients' jewelry while ensuring quality and turnaround times.
• Meet daily goals, aiming for 20 repairs per day.
• Follow posted processes to bring damaged jewelry to required standards.

Job description

Position: Bench Jeweler

Location: Smyrna, TN

Pay Range: $24.00 - $35.00 depending on experience

$2,400 sign on bonus for Bench Jewelers

The Jeweler will service and repair clients' jewelry repairs while providing excellent quality and turnaround time, following all posted processes to bring damaged jewelry up to the standards required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safe accountability of various gemstones, diamonds, metal used in repairs and customers jewelry.
• Be able to perform 20 repairs per day to meet goals and objectives.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

• Minimum of two years' experience in jewelry repairs.
• Demonstrated proficiency and skill in the areas of sizing, chain repair, prong and stone setting repairs, stone tightening, shank work, all types of stone setting, and polishing or other finishing techniques.
• Must have laser welding experience.
• Must have experience using a microscope.
• Must be able to read and understand instructions to complete repairs.
• Must be willing to train and share knowledge and experience.
• Must be organized and able to communicate with others.
• Must pass a bench test.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of invisible set repairs, a plus.
• Production experience, a plus.
• Experience in laser engraving a plus.
