Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Bakery Department Supervisor to oversee guest service, merchandising programs, and daily operations in the bakery. You will lead a team to ensure high standards and a positive shopping experience for customers in the Greensboro area.

Responsibilities include achieving sales and profit targets, managing inventory and staff scheduling, training hosts, maintaining sanitation and safety, and coordinating product preparation, receiving and guest service to uphold Lowes Foods'

Qualifications

• Experience in bakery operations and department supervision.
• Ability to manage staff training and development.
• Strong guest service and selling abilities.
• Effective communication with store leadership.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Comfortable with using store computers.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks.

To supervise and ensure that Lowes Foods guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operation is maintained in the bakery department.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.
