Responsibilities
  • Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the bakery department staff.
  • Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and profits for the bakery department.
  • Maintain desired inventory and supplies.
  • Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines.
  • Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards throughout the department.
  • Provide guidance, training, and feedback to bakery staff.
  • Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as needed.
  • Maintain labor budget and scheduling standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Make PA announcements.
Qualifications
  • Friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to read and understand information and directions.
  • Knowledge of bakery operations.
  • Ability to supervise, train, and develop staff.
  • Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
  • Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Effective communication with Store Manager and Merchandiser.
  • Computer proficiency.
