Job description

Position Summary

The Bellperson assists arriving and departing guests with their luggage and provides information and services to guests and patrons. The Bellperson reports to the Front Desk Manager.

Pay range: $19.00 to $22.80 per hour (dependent on budget and experience).

Essential Job Functions / Key Job Responsibilities

• Escort arriving guests to their rooms on a rotating basis with other Bell staff, handling their luggage with care and efficiency
• Provide summary of the hotel and the amenities offered to guests
• Ensure guest room is in order and describe location of television remote, air conditioning control, guest services directory etc. to guests while checking in
• Follow baggage tagging procedures and ski storage procedures
• Deliver messages, packages, or other items to guest rooms or other areas of the hotel expeditiously, placing in designated areas
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the Lobby and Bell storeroom
• Make manager aware of guest’s comments or complaints
• Comply with all policies of the hotels and Aspen One
• Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management
• Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as staffing and business levels demand
• Other duties assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Current Driver’s License with no violations
• Previous hotel experience preferred

• Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills to address guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, or be on your feet for extended periods of time; kneeling and bending may be required
• Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions
• Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
