Job summary

GE Aerospace in Norwich, NY is seeking a skilled shop technician to produce and verify parts per print and spec. You will set up and run Hydroformer machines, operate vertical/former equipment, and perform corrugation and finishing tasks on bellows components.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalency.
• 1 year manufacturing experience
• Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
• Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools (micrometers, measuring tape, calipers, etc.)
• Basic understanding of mathematical principles; may have to do conversions to decimal system.

Responsibilities

• Produce & verify that piece parts are acceptable and produced within print & specifications.
• Set up and operate Hydroformer horizontal forming machine on any processed work.
• Operate vertical Hydroformer machine on any processed work.
• Corrugate shells to form bellows. Includes cutting, deburring, bumping, sizing and annealing tube; handle hydroformer processes.
