Job summary

The Lodge at Gulf State Park, a Hilton Hotel, seeks a friendly Bell/Guest Services Associate to welcome guests, assist with luggage, and guide visitors around the property. You will help with check-in/out, answer questions, and maintain the lobby and bell stand in a courteous, professional manner.

Responsibilities include aiding guests with luggage, explaining facilities, posting events, and handling messages and valet duties.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Customer Service in a guest contact role preferred.
• Ability to communicate with guests and know hotel services.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record for van driving.
• Second language may be desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage walk in traffic and greet guests while opening doors.
• Accompany guests with luggage to or from rooms.
• Explain hotel facilities, hours, and answer questions.
• Check luggage for day and overnight guests.
• Maintain lobby/bell stand and keep areas clean.
• Post daily events board in the lobby.
• Maintain interdepartmental shift logs and communications.
• Deliver messages and valet to guest rooms.
• Van Driver duties: airport pick-ups/drop-offs and vehicle inspection.
• Perform valet duties and assist front desk with key inventory weekly.

Keep lobby door and windows clean when not busy with guests.Post the daily events board and entertainment board in the lobby.Maintain an open communication line through all shifts by proper use of interdepartmental shift log.Deliver messages and valet to guest rooms.Van Driver will perform pick-ups and drop-offs at the airport for the guests in a timely, friendly and professional manner and inspect vehicles.Perform the duties of a valet.Assist front desk with key inventory twice weekly.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESHigh school education or equivalent experience.Customer Service in a guest contact role preferred.Ability to communicate with guests, respond to questions and inquires,knowledge of hotel services, local area events and activities. Ability to drive vans, limousines and automobiles and possess a valid driver’s license and have an excellent driving record as verified by a Motor Vehicle Report preferred.
