Job summary

Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast in Bay St. Louis, MS, seeks a friendly Bellperson to assist guests with luggage, provide information on amenities, and support a smooth check-in and check-out experience.

You will help guests with room changes, maintain key security, and uphold excellent guest relations while complying with safety and confidentiality standards. Join a team focused on hospitality and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Must have good communications skills.
  • High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos; write simple correspondence.
  • Must successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull a bell cart weighing about 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately transports guests’ luggage to the assigned room after registration.
  • Picks up guests’ luggage on departure and directs transportation or storage.
  • Provides fast guest service by sharing information on hotel/casino amenities and events.
  • Assists guests with room changes and maintains room key security.
  • Promotes outstanding guest relations and confidentiality.
  • Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner with customers and team members.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Accurately transports guests’ luggage to the assigned room following completion of the registration process.
  • Picks up guests’ luggage upon departure and transfers to proper form of transportation or delivers for storage.
  • Provides fast and flawless guest service by supplying guests with information regarding Hotel/Casino amenities, special events, and travel directions.
  • Assists guests with room changes and maintains room key security.
  • Promotes outstanding guest relations.
  • Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow team members.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.
  • Any and all duties as assigned by your Manager or a member of management.

  • Must have good communications skills.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification course.
  • Must be able to push and/or pull a bell cart weighting approximately 50 lbs.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch and talk or hear. The team member is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
