Bell Door Attendants are in constant communication with the Front Office and Valet to ensure guests are escorted and their luggage and personal items are transported to and from the guest rooms efficiently. Job Scope
Responsible for welcoming guests, handling guest luggage, transporting guest luggage to and from guest rooms, and for assisting guests with authorized transportation. Other duties as required.
Job Functions
- Guest Service-Related Tasks (85%)
- Meets and greets guests at arrival.
- Hails cabs for guests.
- Carries luggage from the guest's cab or car to the lobby, and vice versa.
- Picks up room key and luggage in the lobby and escorts guests to their room, while highlighting hotel services and amenities along the way.
- Places luggage inside the guest room and explains the room amenities to guests.
- Transfers luggage during room changes.
- Checks luggage in and out of luggage room.
- Loads luggage into cabs, limousines, busses, etc.
- Issues claim checks to guests for garage service.
- Escorts guest and carries luggage to garage ramp.
- Loads and unloads luggage for departures and arrivals, including for groups.
- Pages guests in lobby area.
- Escorts guests outside of the hotel upon check-out.
- Assists mail desk if needed to deliver guest mail and packages.
- Brings bags promptly to guests in the lobby when requested.
- Makes sure that all bags are properly tagged.
- Organizes stored luggage on shelves in the neatest possible manner.
- Makes sure that the luggage room is locked at all times.
- Counts luggage, prepares luggage slips, and logs for group check in and check out.
- Assists guests with information or directs them to appropriate department when necessary.
- Assign last bell/door attendant to complete room changes, as well as mail and message distribution as necessary.
Garage Related Tasks (15%)
- Calls garage valet for car pickups.
- Gives all garage and check stubs to the Front Office.
- Responsible for clearing legal loading zone of any vehicles.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Essential
- 6 to 12 months experience as a Bell or Doorperson in a luxury, medium-sized hotel (or experience and education that will provide the skills necessary for this position)
- Clear use of spoken English.
Desirable
- Fluency in English
- Multilingual
- High School Graduate / GED
Other Physical Abilities
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry in excess of 75 lbs.

Salary Range
$21.5034 - $28.6713 per hour
