Job summary

Air Methods Corporation in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking an aviation maintenance technician with rotor experience on a Bell 429 to perform inspections, repairs, and alterations on company aircraft, ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and maintenance manuals.

The role requires 2–5 years of helicopter maintenance, an active A&P license, and willingness to travel 25–50% with on-call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Active/current A&P license is required.
• Factory airframe/powerplant schools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable FARs.
• Upon installation or removal of any component, verify part numbers match documentation.
• Ensure all maintenance documentation complies with FARs, policies, and manuals.
• Participates in Safety Management System improvements.
• Maintains a clean and professional work area.
• Corrects compliance or safety issues as directed.
• Advise PIC of maintenance issues that could remove an aircraft from service.
• Validate data in Status Reports for aircraft worked on.
• Request necessary aviation parts to maintain inventory for prompt repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.
