Coastline Academy is seeking driving instructors to educate students in a Coastline Car, using a dashboard camera for safety. You will participate in a paid training program to obtain the required state instructor certification, with guidance from a dedicated training team.

Lessons are typically in the afternoons and on weekends when students are available, with days commonly comprising three two-hour sessions. The role emphasizes safety, communication, and student progress reporting.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for helping people learn.
• Ability to remain calm in a learning environment.
• A valid State Driver's License in the state you wish to work in.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check.
• Must have 10 years of legal driving experience.
• A strong safety mindset and strong reasoning ability.
• Ability to give clear instruction, coach, communicate effectively to others.
• Ability to focus for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Teaching practical skills related to all aspects of driving.
• Providing instruction on the rules of the road.
• Helping students to develop confidence in their driving skills.
• Gaining control of the vehicle during emergency situations.
• Documenting and reporting on students' progress.
• Maintaining timely communication with your supervisor and support team.
• Maintaining professionalism with students and fellow team members.
• Attending team meetings for updates and ongoing development.
