The Behavior Specialist is based in the Murrysville / Monroeville area and will travel throughout Westmoreland, Washington, and Allegheny Counties, providing services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

• The Behavioral Specialist performs afunctional assessment and develops strategies to support a participantaccordingly. This could include: social emotional plans, functional behavioural analyses, behaviour plans, restrictive procedures, and associated documentation necessary for tracking plan implementation.
• Provides on-site training to participants, staff, parents and caregivers and monitors participant success.
• Develops effective behavioursupport plans to be utilized by the care team and evaluates participantprogress.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Master’s Degree in Human Services or a closely related field (Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Education, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Current driver’s license and valid auto insurance..

Preferred:

• Coursework in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and experience working with adults with an intellectual disability
• ABA Certification
• Trama-informed care, such as Certified Trauma Professional (CTP) or Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
• PA Behaviour Specialist Licensure
