Job summary

Delta-T Group is seeking Behavioral Technicians (BT/RBTs) for opportunities in the greater Hartford, CT area. Roles range from 2 months to through the school year, with schedules typically 30–38 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, during typical school hours.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with students to implement BCBA plans.

• Apply redirection techniques tailored to each child’s needs.
• Interact regularly with BCBA, teachers and other staff.

Job description

Our Client is looking for Behavioral Technicians (BT/RBTs) for opportunities located in the greater Hartford, CT area including the suburbs.

CLIENT HOURS

Our Clients can accommodate full schedules between 30-38 hrs / week Monday-Friday - Typical School Hours. We have opportunities currently from as short as 2 months to others that run through the end of the school year.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Some opportunities need an Actual Registered Behavior Tech (RBT), but other opportunities welcome someone who has completed the 40 hours of RBT Study. And some of the Clients just need someone who has strong experience working with Children with Autism or Children with Behavioral Issues.
• A Bachelors' or Associates Degree is helpful, but actual BT experience is more important than the education.

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

• As a BT you will work closely with students to build their trust and apply a BCBA's plans for each child.
• You will prepare notes and report back to the BCBA on the effectiveness of the BCBA's Behavior Plans for reassessment & possible Plan Modifications.
• Depending on the child, it could be working with a child on his focus on the work, ability to stay engaged in the class work or with more severe behavioral issues implement redirection techniques to curb any issues the child is exhibiting.
• You will interact regularly with a BCBA, the child's teachers and other staff members.
