Job summary

Proud Moments ABA, a national behavioral health organization, seeks Behavior Technicians to provide 1-1 home-based ABA services in partnership with BCBAs for children from birth to age 21 in the New York area.

Role involves implementing treatment plans in clients’ homes, collecting progress data, and training families. Fixed schedule Mon-Fri 3pm-7pm, some weekends, with pay range $19–$27 per hour and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Experience supporting children or adults with behavioral challenges, developmental delays, or special needs preferred.
• Reliable transportation to assigned work locations.
• Confidentiality of client, family, and organizational information per HIPAA.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet physical demands of home-based care.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with a client in their home to implement behavioral plans designed by BCBA.
• Collect data to monitor progress and report progress.
• Support BCBA with training families on implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Be responsive to the needs of clients, their families, and supervisors.
• Maintain clear lines of communication with families, supervisors, and other applicable parties.
• Physically assist clients during sessions (standing, bending, lifting 25+ pounds, etc.).
• Any other tasks outlined by BCBA/LBA.
• Fixed schedule Monday-Friday 3pm-7pm, some weekends.

Proud Moments ABA is a national behavioral health organization, providing the gold standard of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children on the autism spectrum from birth to age 21. We are looking for Behavior Technicians (BT's) to join our growing team. Our BT's are an essential part of the treatment team- providing 1-1 specialized treatment in partnership with our Board Certified Behavior Analysts to our clients in a home-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Support BCBA with training families on implementing individualized treatment plans


• Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors


• Maintain clear lines of communication with families, supervisors, and other applicable parties


• Physically keep up with clients as they move about the session area(s). This will require many physical activities including, but not limited to, standing, sitting, bending, lifting 25+ pounds, running, squatting, kneeling, and generally keeping pace with children from 2-15 years old


• Any other tasks outlined by BCBA/LBA


• Fixed schedule Monday-Friday 3pm-7pm, some including weekend

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required


• Prior experience working with children preferred


• Prior experience providing support to children or adults with behavioral challenges, developmental delays, or special needs preferred


• Exposure to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is preferred, though comprehensive training will be provided


• Reliable personal transportation with the ability to commute consistently to assigned work locations


• Ability to maintain confidentiality of client, family, and organizational information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies


• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, client-focused environment


• Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow detailed instructions and document information accurately


• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to stay organized and adapt to changing schedules or priorities


• Comp $19-$27 per hour
