Job summary

Family Resource Center in Findlay, OH is seeking a dedicated residential care provider to support residents with mental health needs. You will supervise daily living activities, including meals, hygiene, and medications, under the guidance of the Residential Manager.

The role emphasizes motivational interviewing, collaboration with families and other providers, and implementation of treatment plans to stabilize crisis situations and promote recovery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and car insurance.
• Willingness to work 3rd shift (Fri-Sat 12am–8am, including holidays).
• CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, HRIS, EHR and related systems.
• Willingness to submit background check and fingerprinting.
• Experience in a residential environment.
• Knowledge of psychological disorders and related behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee direct care of residents during designated hours.
• Supervise cooking, housekeeping, laundry and personal hygiene.
• Monitor residents, oversee medication administration and observe progress on treatment plans.
• Provide motivational interviewing and support for residents’ recovery plans.
• Coordinate with families and other providers as needed.
• Facilitate programming using evidence-based behavioral management techniques.

Who are you?

You are a caring and dedicated professional that is invested in helping individuals return to a pre-crisis level of functioning. Make a difference in your local community by working with individuals that have a primary mental health diagnosis and/or co-occurring disorders. You will be part of a versatile team that will implement client treatment plans that are established for each resident.

Under guidance of the Residential Manager, you will oversee the direct care of the residents during designated working hours. You will work with clients who are admitted on an emergency status to reduce their level of distress and stabilize the crisis situation. You oversee the cooking, housekeeping, laundry, and personal hygiene skills of residents, and oversee the residents in taking their medications. You observe residents' behavior and functioning, monitor progress on treatment plans, and communicate with appropriate team members, while also offering encouragement of the residents to be involved in their own treatment.

You understand the need to be a positive role model for the residents and provide ongoing guidance with the use of motivational interviewing. Work in cooperation with other providers, family members, or significant others involved in the residents' recovery plan. Facilitate programming using evidence-based behavioral management techniques.

You have:

• HSD/GED
• A valid driver's license and car insurance
• The ability to work 3rd shift from 12am midnight to 8am on Friday and Saturdays, including holidays.
• CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to regularly use various computer apps including Microsoft Office, our HRIS, EHR and other online systems, with multiple logins often simultaneously.
• Willingness to submit background check and fingerprinting
• Experience working in a residential environment
• A knowledge base of psychological disorders and related behaviors
