Job summary

Hillcrest Adolescent Treatment Center in Agoura Hills, CA, seeks a part-time Behavioral Technician to support adolescents in a resort-like setting. The role offers weekend evenings with opportunities to grow and work with therapists and staff.

Grow Your Experience in Mental Health in a Part-Time Role in a Beautiful Resort-Like Setting

If you have experience in mental health treatment environments and the ability to build rapport with adolescents, this position offers you some great opportunities.

You will:

• Expand your experience in mental health treatment; this is a great job if you are working on a degree in the field.

• Work in a beautiful facility in a resort-like setting that is convenient to the 101 freeway.
• Interact directly with the clients, providing supervision and support. If you work on weekdays, you'll also interact with therapists and other teammates. If you work on weekends, you'll accompany the clients on outings, from hiking and beach-going to visits to Disneyland, Universal Studios and other attractions.

The hours for this role are Sat and Sun from 5:45 pm to 2:15 pm. This hourly position starts at $22 to $25 per hour based upon your experience and education.

Additional compensation will be considered for the following:

• Bachelor's degree or above
• Mental health-related certifications
• 3+ years of residential mental health experience

Reporting to the Program Director, you will provide basic support regarding the care of the clients to ensure they have what they need for successful rehabilitation.

Your Qualifications

To be a good fit for the Behavioral Technician opportunity, you will have:

• A high school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in the social services field.
• A genuine desire to work with adolescents.
• Working knowledge of substance abuse, mental health disorders, and treatment procedures for such illnesses.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Must have a valid California driver's license and the ability to pass and maintain a clean driving record check (MVR) in accordance with our company standards.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Internet, email, and MS Word.
