Rutgers University is hiring a Behavioral Technician (IOC) to provide direct service to adults with autism, implementing behavior reduction and skill acquisition goals on-site at the Adult Autism Services Center. The role requires 40 hours of ABA training and an RBT credential, with data recording and crisis management responsibilities.

The position is full-time, on-site, with standard 35-hour weeks and day shifts.

Qualifications

• Requires high school/vocational education or equivalent and 40 hours of formal ABA training.
• Minimum 3 months experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in an ABA setting.
• RBT certification required; NJ Substitute Teacher Certificate may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct service to adults with autism focusing on behavior reduction and skill acquisition.
• Follow strict parameters to ensure safety, engagement, and habilitative outcomes.
• Record, maintain, interpret, and analyze data.
• Maintain the instructional environment and support RCAAS mission.
• Serve as an ambassador of Rutgers RCAAS.
