Qualifications

• One or more years of direct care experience with behavior support plans.
• High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license.
• Experience implementing behavior modification techniques.
• Ability to lift clients and perform transfers and restraints.
• Maintain trainings including CORE, CPR, and First Aid.
• Train and maintain BST Skills, Mental Health First Aid within six months.
• Must demonstrate BST Skills within one year.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavioral support techniques developed by the behavior resource team.
• Respond to crisis situations and implement interventions until behavior is safe.
• Instruct others in the implementation of behavior support plans and crisis intervention techniques.
• Train and maintain Behavior Support Strategies within six months of starting.
• Train and maintain Mental Health First Aid within six months of starting.
• Train and maintain Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale within 90 days of starting.
• Must demonstrate Essential Skills - BST Skills within one year of starting.
