Job summary

Skills of Central PA (Skills) is a nonprofit health and human services organization serving central Pennsylvania. We are seeking a Full Time Behavior Support Specialist with a Monday–Friday 8am–4pm schedule and flexibility as needed for program needs.

The role involves developing behavioral guides, data-based monitoring, staff training, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration on ISP outcomes to support individuals with ID and autism spectrum challenges.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in psychology, special education, counseling, social work, education, ABA, or gerontology.
• PA Behavior Specialist License or eligibility to obtain one.
• Bachelor's degree with supervision by a qualified professional.
• Experience in functional behavioral assessments and positive behavioral supports.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working with ID and/or autistic populations.
• Must be 18+ with valid driver's license and I-9 documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develops behavioral guides in collaboration with the individual and team.
• Monitors target behaviors with data charts and graphs.
• Trains individuals, staff, and families on the behavioral guide.
• Keeps HIPAA information confidential and compliant.
• Participates in ISP development and team collaboration.
• Performs assessments of challenging behaviors and analyzes functions.
