Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Provider to work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors in East Bay, California.

This role offers flexible scheduling (part-time and full-time), ongoing supervision from a BCBA, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan and PTO. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with individuals with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, or behavioral sciences preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification for Adult & Children.
• TB test updated.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavioral intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior areas.
• Assist with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, meals, dressing, and ambulation.
• Implement and collect data on behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.
