Job summary

The Summit Center in Amherst, NY is seeking a Behavioral Support Consultant to provide clinical support, lead Behavioral Support Technicians, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective behavior interventions. You will develop and implement behavior plans and monitor progress.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's in special education or school psychology, with a Master's degree preferred, and ABA experience. BCBA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education or school psychology.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience developing behavior support plans using ABA.

Responsibilities

• Provide data-based behavioral consultation to classroom teams.
• Complete behavioral assessments.
• Develop and write required reports.
• Measure student progress on interim behavioral protocols and behavior intervention plans.
• Train staff in best practice methods.
• Provide and oversee crisis intervention services for students.
• Ensure that IEP mandates are fulfilled.
• Maintain all records required.
• Conduct all duties in accordance with current best practice and ethical guidelines.
