Richmond Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Staten Island, NY seeks a Behavioral Specialist to support residents with behavioral plans and crisis interventions. You will document data, coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, and participate in care plan meetings.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment, communicating changes to staff, and assisting in program and curriculum development as requested.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Minimum of one year of related field experience or demonstrated potential.

Responsabilités

• Carry out unit-specific responsibilities (shift-specific).
• Adhere to facility and behavioral services department policies and procedures.
• Record behavioral data on resident behavior forms during shifts.
• Communicate coverage needs for sick calls and program changes.
• Provide guidance for groups led by activity staff and recreation assistants.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment and assist with crisis interventions.
• Participate in behavior/care plan meetings as requested.
• Report conflicts to the Program Director or designee.
