Behavioral Specialist/BCBA
The Behavioral Specialist conducts functional analysis assessments and writes behavior intervention plans. Responsible for generating and implementing programs to remediate behavioral and social problems for students eligible for severely emotionally disturbed and autistic programs. Provides consultation to school personnel and parents, serves as the district’s behavioral intervention case manager, trains personnel, and offers ongoing consultation and feedback related to behavioral treatment. Additional duties may include consultation on inclusion, participation in IEP meetings, curriculum development, and training staff and parents on positive behavioral supports.
Current certification as a BCBA, BCABA, or eligibility for certification, with a Master’s Degree in a relevant field. Must have experience working with students with autism.
