Job summary

Community Services Group seeks a Behavioral Services Specialist in Bethlehem to develop and implement positive behavioral support plans for individuals with IDD. The role emphasizes data-driven assessments, trauma-informed approaches, and collaboration with staff to ensure rights-based, person-centered care.

You will conduct FBAs, create BSPs, and support programs across multiple settings while maintaining accurate records and reporting to the Director of Clinical Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accredited field (special education, psychology, counseling, social work, education, applied behavior analysis, or related) with 4 years direct experience OR
• Master’s degree in related field with 2 years direct experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) using interviews, records review, observations, and ABC data collection.
• Develop data-driven Behavior Support Plans (BSP) based on FBA findings.
• Design environmental modifications, antecedent strategies, and replacement skills.
• Lead staff training on positive behavioral support techniques.
• Maintain compliant documentation of assessments, plans, progress notes and services.

The Behavioral Services Specialist works closely with supervisory and direct service staff to monitor the development and implementation of positive behavioral support plans. This position is responsible for ensuring individuals’ rights and quality behavioral support in accordance with the principles of self-determination, Positive Behavior Support, Applied Behavior Analysis, recovery and resiliency and CSG policies.
