Gersh Autism seeks an experienced Intervention Specialist for the Brooklyn, NY campus to support behavioral, emotional, and academic needs of students aged 5-21. The role is integral to the Intervention team, requiring proactive, compassionate collaboration with families and staff.

The ideal candidate has strong writing, organizational skills, and experience with crisis intervention; Bachelor’s degree preferred, CPI certification preferred.

Competenze

• Must possess excellent writing and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention preferred
• Previous experience with crisis intervention with school age students required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with all levels of Management

Mansioni

• Observe, manage, evaluate, and document student behavioral issues and crisis interventions.
• Assess and maintain a functional environment for intervention that preserves student dignity and safety.
• Provide high level care, welfare, safety, and security across all intervention phases.
