  • Outpatient / PHP and IOP*
Summary:

Provides a wide range of outpatient behavioral health services to clients, including conducting biopsychosocial and diagnostic assessments, intake assessments for psychiatric or dual diagnosis patients, and providing short-term or long-term therapy tailored to client needs. Conducts outpatient groups (including IOP and/or PHP). Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats various presenting problems, assisting patients and families in resolving personal and environmental issues related to mental or physical disorders. Collaborates with other OPBH professionals to coordinate care and develop individualized treatment plans. Performs insurance reviews and obtains authorizations as needed.

Education:

Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, or PhD in Clinical Psychology.

Licensure:

LICSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or MSW with an agreement to obtain licensure within 6 months of employment.

Experience:

Experience or training in serious mental illness and dual diagnosis is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong skills working with challenging patients and families.
  • Analytical and therapeutic skills for evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and assessing progress.
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with peers and other disciplines.
  • Consideration of cultural background, linguistic skills, and diversity of clients.
  • Knowledge of community resources and managed care companies/third-party payers.
Working Conditions:

Includes sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 10 lbs., with occasional carrying of items like files and books.
