Children’s Crisis Treatment Center (CCTC) is seeking a Behavioral Health Worker to support children ages 5-13 and their families in crisis and behavioral health situations. You will work within the treatment team to provide trauma-informed care and implement recommended interventions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral/mental health field with direct care experience.
  • Associate degree with direct care experience for children/adolescents.
  • Bachelor’s degree + 1 year direct care experience in a related setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one or small group interventions to a child at school.
  • Provide crisis intervention techniques, immediate behavioral reinforcements, emotional support, and time structuring activities when needed.
  • Attend required trainings and mandatory supervision sessions.
  • Attend daily case review and weekly case conference.
  • Transport clients as needed.
  • Conduct classroom observations as needed.
  • Collect observational data as needed.
  • Participate in home visits as needed.
  • Attend clinical meetings, IEP, and related client care meetings.

Position Summary: At Children’s Crisis Treatment Center (CCTC), our staff is dedicated to addressing the impact of childhood traumatic events and other challenges. The Behavioral Health Worker will support and follow through with treatment team recommendations in a fast paced environment and meet the needs of the children ages 5-13 and their families presenting with crisis and behavioral health issues in a trauma-informed manner.Summary of Essential Functions:Provide one-to-one or small group interventions to a child at schoolProvide crisis intervention techniques, immediate behavioral reinforcements, emotional support, and time structuring activities when neededAttend all required trainingsAttend mandatory supervision sessionsAttend daily case review and weekly case conferenceTransport clients, as neededConduct classroom observations, as neededCollect observational data, as neededParticipate in home visits, as neededAttend clinical meetings, IEP, and any other relevant meetings pertaining to client careQualifications: To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
