  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with children, families and school communities.

Job description

Position Summary: At Children’s Crisis Treatment Center (CCTC), our staff is dedicated to addressing the impact of childhood traumatic events and other challenges. The Lead Clinician will ensure the overall clinical and operational integrity of their clinical team(s). The Lead Clinician’s primary responsibilities are to lead their respective team(s), manage a health and proactive relationship with children, families and school communities. In addition the Lead Clinician will provide ongoing training and supervision of all staff (BHT and consultants BSC/MT) within the clinical team.


Summary Of Essential Functions


  • Supervise staff in both individual and group format

  • Keep track of supervision through the use of approved agency supervisory notes and maintained in a supervisory log book

  • Oversee the quality of BHT’s (Behavior Health Technician) and Behavior Consultants (BS), and Mobile Therapist (MT) overall job performance, ensure timely completion of and quality control of the documentation of work

  • Ensure that training for staff is being provided as required by the state/CBH

  • Ensure that staff follow Children’s Crisis Treatment Center’s policies and procedures

  • Complete written orders when assigned

  • Assist/support with the completion of the Assessment

  • Complete assessments when assigned

  • Review and approve assessments before submission to CBH

  • Completes and/or reviews completed treatment plans

  • Conduct monthly Utilization Reviews of client’s medical chart and presents feedback during supervisory sessions

  • Conduct monthly Level of Service (LOS) reviews with CBH

  • Maintaining a positive, professional and collaborative relationship and partnership with children, families and school community

  • Works with the clinical team to formulate a strong case conceptualization

  • Maintains a working relationship with staff

  • Develop action plans for improving service delivery

  • Meet weekly with treatment team to review treatment of children, determine what is working/not working and support with any changes to treatment

  • Attend regular on site mandatory trainings in areas such as but not limited to annuals and CPR

  • Provide staff with supervisory support during the hours that IBHS are provided, including evening and weekends

  • Communicates staffing issues to the CoBS IBHS Director in a timely manner

  • Ensure that staff file incident reports and brings such reports to the attention of the Director within 24 hours of occurrence

  • Work collaboratively with all CCTC departments to ensure the clinical needs of children and families are being met

  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by Division Director


Requirements

Master’s degree in psychology, social work or related field.


Licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.


Minimum of one year of full time postgraduate experience in the provision of mental health direct services to children.


Strong interpersonal skills.


Technical/Computer Skills

Proficient in MS Office Suite.


Proficient in handling office equipment (faxes, copiers, scanners).
