Universal Health Services in Orlando is seeking an Utilization Review Coordinator to perform admission and concurrent reviews, ensuring quality patient care and cost-effectiveness. You will work with physicians and social services to document care and complete Medicare audits.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Investigation.
• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or related field; Nursing degree acceptable.
• 3–5 years’ experience in chart analysis and utilization review in psychiatric/chemical dependency fields preferred.
• Valid FL license (RN, LCSW, LMHC or LMFT) preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Stable emotional makeup for a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform admission and concurrent review to ensure quality care and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with physicians and social services to document patient care.
• Complete Medicare B-Tag audits.
• Conduct psychosocial assessment of newly admitted patients.
• Develop updates and re-assessments; high-social risk case finding.
• Coordinate with family and community-based agencies for pre-admission status.
• Participate in treatment planning as part of the treatment team.
