Job summary

Heartland Behavioral Health in Nevada, Missouri, seeks a dedicated professional to support utilization management and care coordination activities. You will work with families and referral sources on discharge planning and utilization management functions.

This role also assists with insurance and financial counseling to ensure timely payments and complete follow-up paperwork, in a patient-centered, Trauma Informed Care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the mental health field preferred.
• Experience in case management and/or utilization review.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and medical necessity for acute/residential treatment.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and hospital programs.
• Attention to detail and strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in utilization management and care coordination.
