Job summary

County of Monterey Health Department, Behavioral Health Bureau, is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Unit Supervisor (BHUS) to provide daily clinical oversight of a multidisciplinary team in outpatient and related settings across ASOC, TAY AVANZA, and other programs.

The BHUS collaborates with medical providers to promote recovery, independence, and quality of life for adults, youth, and justice-involved populations.

Qualifications

• Requires CA professional licensure (LCSW/LMFT/LPCC/LP) depending on role.
• Strong clinical supervision and leadership abilities.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary behavioral health services.
• Ability to oversee outpatient, hospital, and community-based services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise subordinate professional staff in a behavioral health program; review cases and guide treatment methods.
• May provide direct clinical work with patients as part of a program.
• Coordinate services with community agencies and treatment facilities; provide consultation.
• Develop procedures manuals and materials to meet program goals; assist management in evaluating needs.
• Supervise staff evaluators; conduct regular staff meetings; review progress and problems.
