Job summary

UPMC Altoona’s 3G Behavioral Health unit seeks a Registered Nurse with leadership experience to serve as Unit Director. Lead the 34-bed inpatient unit, guiding clinical and administrative functions and driving patient-centered care and staff development.

You will oversee operations, quality initiatives, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and workforce growth.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with leadership experience.
• Experience in behavioral health settings preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a 24-hour unit operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health Unit.
• Establish and monitor clinical, quality, financial, and operational goals.
• Drive continuous improvement using outcomes data and evidence-based practice.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and develop nursing staff and leaders.
