Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is seeking qualified therapists to assess, diagnose and provide clinical services for individuals with behavioral health disorders. The role includes psychosocial assessments, treatment planning and delivering individual, group or family sessions in either inpatient or outpatient settings.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Human Services and licensure/certification with CPR/de-escalation training.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Human Services field required.
• One or more years experience working with comparable patient population required.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions for individuals and families to treat emotional and behavioral disorders.
• Conduct a psychosocial assessment and develop an initial discharge plan.
• Conduct individual, group or family sessions per the patient’s treatment plan.
• Provide initial treatment planning based on assessment and coordinate additional services as needed.
• Maintain documentation of therapy services according to facility and professional standards.
• Maintain a caseload as assigned.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with staff to facilitate services.
• May provide services in inpatient or outpatient settings.
• May perform case management, discharge or aftercare planning as needed.
• Demonstrate an empathetic, professional attitude and address patient safety and complaints.
