Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital seeks a Mental Health Professional II for PRN coverage to deliver patient-focused psychiatric services and therapy in a collaborative setting. You will perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and facilitate individual, group, and family sessions using evidence-based methods.

The role requires a Master's in Social Work or related field, plus BCLS and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certifications within 30 days of start. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Delivers supervised mental health services to patients and families.
• Conducts assessments and develops treatment plans with the team.
• Leads process groups and psychoeducation sessions using evidence-based interventions.
• Facilitates individual, family, and group therapy.
• Completes documentation promptly and complies with requirements.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for discharge planning.
• Conducts post-discharge follow-up as indicated.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Mental Health Professional II is to deliver exceptional, patient-focused care by providing supervised mental health services to patients and their loved ones. Their responsibilities include conducting assessments, offering psycho-education, leading process groups, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic counseling sessions using evidence-based interventions in one-on-one, family, and group therapy.

What you will do in this Role:

• Conducts one-on-one, group, and family psychoeducational and process groups.
• Develops treatment plans and attends treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis.
• Assesses environment and patient’s safety status and reports/responds to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient's condition.
• Identifies risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement).
• Completes assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements, as appropriate to scope.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patients’ discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge.
• Conducts post-discharge follow-up as indicated.

What qualifications you will need:
