Behavioral Health Therapist (LCSW or LPC)

Position Overview

We are a faith-based family health care center seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Behavioral Health Therapist to join our growing behavioral health team. The therapist acts as an advocate, helping clients access community-based resources and providing 1:1 counseling on issues such as mental illness, trauma, addiction, and abuse. LCSW or LPC credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Must be an LCSW or LPC.
• Experience working with patients who have experienced trauma, abuse, and chemical dependency.
• Experience serving underserved populations.
• Healthcare setting experience is helpful.
• Bilingual/Spanish speaking is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide 1:1 psychosocial counseling to ELFHCC patients.
2. Complete psychosocial assessments considering social, economic, cultural, and age-related factors, including history of abuse and prior psychiatric or substance abuse treatment.
3. Coordinate and plan programs to meet patients' social and emotional needs.
4. Collaborate with the behavioral health team for co-management of patients requiring additional services.
5. Develop and implement comprehensive, patient-centered care plans.
6. Establish regular contact with patients to review progress and identify additional needs.

Additional Details

Salary range is commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Retirement, Employee Assistance Program, Holiday pay, Paid sick/vacation, and supplemental options. Vaccination against COVID and influenza is required. Compensation includes a retention bonus of $5,000 after the first year and another $5,000 after the second year.
