Job description

UPMC Western Behavioral Health is hiring a Behavioral Health Therapist Associate to support Twin Lakes in Somerset, PA.

The Therapist Associate will provide clinical treatment services, including comprehensive needs assessments, case management, service linkage, resource development, coordination, and advocacy.

The shift varies between 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and 9:30 am - 6:00 pm, depending on staffing needs, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Sign-on bonus of up to $10,000!

Responsibilities:

1. Client Engagement: Connect with potential clients, monitor and address engagement barriers.
2. Data Collection & Documentation: Gather data, conduct assessments, and maintain accurate case records.
3. Treatment Planning & Implementation: Collaborate on treatment plans, update based on patient needs, and complete clinical documentation.
4. Therapy & Education: Provide individual and group therapy, engage families, and educate on recovery.
5. Team Collaboration: Work with the treatment team, attend meetings, and coordinate care.
6. Service Referrals: Refer patients to appropriate services and community programs.
7. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education (including school counseling), or related field.
• Completion of a human services internship/practicum or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment is preferred.
• A copy of your undergraduate transcript must be provided at the time of application.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• CPR
• Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
• Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting (with renewal)
• Act 33 (with renewal)
• Act 34 (with renewal)
• Act 73 FBI Clearance (with renewal)
