Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist to assess patients and collaborate with care teams to address mental health needs. The role involves two 8-hour shifts per week, with an emphasis on direct and indirect care within a multidisciplinary setting.

Required is a Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work, and BLS certification within 90 days. Preferred credentials include SBIRT, EMDR, CBT or DBT experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology or social work is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in acute psychiatric, hospital or inpatient psych is preferred.

The base pay range for full-time employment is $55,120.00 - $88,649.60 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
