Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Clinical Support teammate to assist with patient care, documentation and routine unit operations. You will help maintain a therapeutic milieu, assist with patient hygiene, nutrition, vital signs and group activities, while ensuring confidentiality and safety.

This role emphasizes teamwork, effective communication, crisis intervention readiness and adherence to patient safety goals in a behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or 2 years of college preferred.
• Two years hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain initial patient information and document on assessment forms.
• Assist with unit orientation and patient rights.
• Collect specimens and prepare for transport to lab.
• Observe patient condition and report changes to Charge Nurse.
• Provide for hygiene and nutritional needs and assist groups.
• Assist with crisis intervention and safety procedures.
• Transport patients and specimens between facilities as needed.
