Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have good human relations and communication skills.
• Must be able to follow procedures and instructions given by the licensed nurse.
• Must be able to acquire a basic knowledge of patient care principles, medical terminology and equipment within the assigned service area.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups for leisure, socialization, exercise, stress management and relaxation skills.
• Assist with daily living activities and basic health care needs.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning and walking using proper techniques and equipment.
• Assist with food preparation and dining to create a positive dining experience.
• May collect samples of blood and other fluids after appropriate training.
