Job summary

Beacon Health System in Indiana is seeking a Nurse Assistant/Behavioral Health technician to support the therapeutic environment on the unit. Under supervision, you help with patient daily living activities, observe behavior, document notes, and assist with communications among patients, families, physicians and the care team.

This role includes leading recreational and social activities, assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharge charts, and maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Nurse Assistant certification preferred.
• Experience in psychiatric settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the therapeutic environment on the unit.
• Assists patients with daily living activities.
• Observes and reports patient behavior; communicates with the care team.
• Provides courteous reception for visitors and coordinates communications.
• Aids with admissions, transfers and discharge processes.
