Job summary

The College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to join the Nursing Department for the NOC/Overnight Shift. The BHT will support licensed staff in delivering safe, therapeutic patient care in accordance with treatment plans.

This entry-level role focuses on assisting with bathing, rounds, hygiene, and observation. No therapy or case management is performed; opportunity to gain hands-on psychiatric nursing experience in a supportive, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers card required.
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute psychiatric inpatient setting preferred.
• CPI certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists licensed staff in the provision of patient care according to treatment plans.
• Observes and reports patients’ progress to staff.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides relief coverage by supervising patients or answering telephones as needed.
• Maintains flexibility and adapts to changing assignments to support patients.
