Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare Martinsburg Inpatient in Hedgesville is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide direct supervision, support, and engagement with clients in treatment. This full-time role includes evening to overnight hours (11pm–7am) with a driver assignment.

As a BHT Driver, you will transport clients to treatment programs and maintain transportation logs, while upholding confidentiality and adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Responsibilities

• Assist with intake and orientation of new clients.
• Maintain accurate client documentation per standards.
• Observe and document client self-administration of medication when applicable.
• Coordinate and supervise client daily activities and schedules.
• Follow treatment plan objectives and support therapeutic goals.
• Monitor client behavior and provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly treatment environment.
• Assist with dietary and daily living needs as required.

At Pyramid Healthcare Martinsburg Inpatient in Hedgesville we specialize in Substance Use Disorder treatment. Pyramid Healthcare Inc has been in operations since 1999 and currently operate over 80 programs in 8 different states, offering a full continuum of high-quality behavioral health care for individuals suffering from substance use disorders, mental health concerns, and other behavioral health issues.

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) plays an essential role in the delivery of residential and outpatient treatment services by providing direct supervision, support, and engagement with clients in treatment. BHTs assist clinical and administrative teams in monitoring client behavior, supporting daily activities, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment. When working as the BHT Driver, employees also provide safe client transportation to and from treatment-related appointments, activities, and designated locations while maintaining appropriate supervision and documentation standards.

• Hourly Rate: $15.00/hour
• Schedule: Full Time, 11pm - 7am Friday - Tuesday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the intake and orientation process for new clients entering the program.
• Maintain accurate client documentation in accordance with program and regulatory standards.
• Observe and document client self-administration of medication as applicable.
• Coordinate and supervise client daily activities and schedules.
• Follow treatment plan objectives and support client-specific therapeutic goals.
• Monitor client behavior and emotional needs and respond appropriately, including crisis intervention when necessary.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly treatment environment.
• Assist with client dietary and daily living needs as required.
• Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information
• Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Duties When Serving as a BHT Driver

• Transport clients to and from treatment programs, medical appointments, meetings, and other approved locations.
• Ensure safe supervision of clients during transportation.
• Follow all company transportation policies and safety procedures.
• Maintain required transportation documentation and logs.
• Ensure vehicles are operated safely and report maintenance or safety concerns as appropriate.

Education, Experience:

• REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent
• REQUIRED: Valid driver’s license.
