Job summary

WestCare Georgia Inc. seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to supervise program residents in a residential treatment setting. The role includes mentoring, safety oversight, and documenting incidents under the guidance of Lead Technicians and the Program Director.

Responsibilities include crisis de-escalation, medication processing on admission, and assisting with recreational activities. A valid driving license, CPR certification preferred, and a flexible schedule are important.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting or similar position.

Responsibilities

• Monitors designated residents under the direction of the Program Director.
• Facilitates mentoring, discipline, safety, and shift/overnight observation.
• Completes support documentation and provides information to third parties as required.
• Uses approved crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate situations and ensure safety.
• Implements the behavioral/level system where applicable.
• Participates in 24/7 coverage with flexible scheduling and punctuality.
• Transports residents to work, school, and meetings as required.
• Monitors resident whereabouts and ensures proper paperwork for leaving property.
• Assists in implementing recreational activities for residents.
• Keeps the facility clean and in good working order.
• Processes resident medications on admission and ensures timely administration.
• Documents incidents accurately using WestCare Incident Reporting system.
• Embraces mission, vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation.
