Part-time, Day/Eve

7am-7pm

12 hours per 2 weeks

General Summary

Assists the professional staff in the care of psychiatric patients. Facilitates the maintenance of the therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Provides care to patients considering safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment.
• Assists team members in patient care and evaluation.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Checks patient's vital signs.
• Charts observations on patients' vital signs accurately following hospital procedures.
• May apply physical restraints or assist with patient seclusion under supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Work Experience:

Licenses:

• Basic Life Support required upon hire.
• Certified Nurse Aide preferred upon hire.

Courses and Training:

• Must provide clearance per Child Protective Services Law (PA Act 33 of 1985) upon hire.
