Advanced Recovery Systems, LLC in Raytown, MO is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for full-time day shifts (7a–7p). The role focuses on observing and monitoring patients, maintaining safety, and supporting the clinical team to ensure quality care at our Recovery Village Kansas City site.

The position requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent, with an Associate's degree plus 1 year of BHT experience preferred; a valid driving record is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate's degree and minimum one year experience in BHT or similar patient care role preferred.
• In lieu of Associate degree, minimum two years' experience in BHT or similar patient care role required.
• Good driving record that meets safety and company insurance standards required.

Responsibilities

• Enforce facility program rules in a firm, fair, professional manner.
• Communicate patient behavior with supervisor and clinical team.
• Address problem behaviors with verbal de-escalation techniques.
• Maintain timely, accurate, legible documentation.
• Keep clinical records secure at all times.
• Assure patient transportation to medical appointments when needed.

Advanced Recovery Systems is an integrated behavioral healthcare management company dedicated to the treatment of addiction, substance abuse, and mental health issues. We put behavioral health front and center, providing assistance to people with substance abuse issues, addictions and mental health concerns.

The Recovery Village Kansas City (KCR)

is an addiction treatment center with a continuum of care for anyone struggling with substance use disorders. We offer a holistic treatment approach to addiction and treatment for co-occurring conditions. The Recovery Village Kansas City is a physician-led center, and our Recovery Advocates can help you reclaim your life. Our 80-bed treatment center in Kansas City is dedicated to providing all levels of care, including medical detox, residential treatment and outpatient programs. Our facility is located in tranquil, convenient Raytown, Missouri and is about 30 minutes from the Kansas City International Airport.

The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for the observation and monitoring of patients in treatment and reporting duties as indicated and contributes to the welfare of the organization and assists patients in a variety of patient activities. Assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following:

Core Job Duties

• Communicate and enforce facility program rules and ensure compliance in a firm but fair and professional manner.
• Communicate patient behavior with immediate supervisor and clinical team as appropriate.
• Address problem behaviors as needed through verbal de-escalation techniques
• Adhere to time schedules
• Maintain healthy and professional boundaries with patients and staff
• Ensure that documentation is timely, consistent, clear, accurate and legible
• Keep clinical records secure at all times

Good driving record required to take patients to other medical appointment outside our facility.

Schedule: 3 / 12-hour shifts

Urgently Hiring: FT Days (7a-7p)

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Associate's degree and minimum one (1) year experience in BHT or similar patient care role preferred
• In lieu of Associate degree, minimum two (2) years' experience in BHT or similar patient care role required
• Good driving record that meets safety and company insurance standards required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with adult patients (18+) preferred
• Prior experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or human services in roles with emphasis involving direct customer or client service experience, strongly preferred
• CPR and Standard First Aid certification or in process of obtaining preferred
