Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a behavioral health support role to assist with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care under RN supervision. The position delivers direct and indirect care to patients across ages, offering activities aligned with each patient’s care plan.

Responsibilities include providing hygiene support, vital signs, transfers, and safety-focused interventions, with opportunities for skill-building and group facilitation within a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• Assists with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation under RN supervision.
• Provides direct/indirect care including hygiene support, nutrition, comfort, transfers, vital signs and documentation.
• Delivers age-appropriate activities aligned with care plans, individually or in groups.
• Uses de-escalation techniques to maintain safety on the unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide skill building and activities to enhance patient abilities.
• Facilitate groups coordinated by psychotherapy and nursing leaders.
• Work as part of a care team under Essentia Health management and physician direction.
