Job Summary: A Technician assists with collecting information for individual intake and admission based on interviews with clients, their families, significant others, and appropriate community agencies. They help the treatment team identify individual strengths and weaknesses, and develop treatment/care plans for specific activities, services, or programs. They also monitor the individual's progress toward treatment goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the individual's physical and emotional wellbeing and report unusual behavior or complaints to the supervisor or Charge Nurse.
  • Obtain vital signs and physical condition assessments at designated times during shifts, as directed by LPN, RN, MD, or APRN.
  • Assist individuals with ADLs supplies, such as towels, washcloths, soap, and maintain cleanliness of beds, clothing, and living areas.
  • Assist in admission and discharge processes, including vital signs, safety searches, and orientation to the unit.
  • Lead milieu activities such as current event groups, community meetings, fitness, and recreational activities.
  • Chart observations following prescribed procedures and document vitals in Carelogic.
  • Participate in educational programs, in-service meetings, and trainings for professional growth.
  • Participate in emergency codes to ensure unit safety.
  • Respond appropriately to crisis situations, including physical interventions like seclusion/restraint.
  • Provide direct care for individuals as needed.
  • Transport individuals to approved locations at discharge.
  • Assist in crisis prevention and management.
  • Help serve meals and snacks as needed for Food Service Workers.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
