Job summary

Centerstone in Missouri is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician I to provide direct and supportive care for clients in residential and related settings. The role focuses on monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment under supervision.

Responsibilities include overseeing medications, documenting client responses, and supporting group activities while collaborating with the treatment team to plan interventions and ensure client safety.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent with two years of responsible employment.
• Experience in Human Services or related field preferred.
• St. Louis County Programs may require a Bachelor’s Degree or MAADC I/II.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to work with treatment teams and document client progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and supportive care to clients/patients and supervise daily activities.
• Monitor vital signs and signs of withdrawal; escalate to medical staff as needed.
• Oversee medication administration and document self‑administration/medication records.
• Perform documentation in the EMR and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Facilitate group rehabilitation activities and transport clients as required.
• Attend trainings and participate in treatment team discussions.
