Job summary

Covenant Health Ministry in Lewiston, ME seeks a Behavioral Services Technician to support patient care under RN supervision. The role emphasizes crisis intervention, adherence to care plans, and compassionate patient interaction.

The technician will assist with daily activities, monitor patient status, and contribute to a safe, clean, and respectful environment for all patients and staff.

• CPI training preferred at hire or before orientation.

Responsibilities

• Supports Covenant Health Ministry mission and values.
• Performs treatments and tasks per policy within scope.
• Models appropriate social interaction with patients, families, and staff.
• Reports changes in patient health to RN immediately.
• Provides crisis management during behavioral emergencies.
• Facilitates meetings/groups/activities as directed by RN.
• Assists with hygiene, toileting, ambulation, mobility, meals, and oral care.
• Engages in care plan and follows treatment plans.
• Conducts searches of patient belongings, rooms, units, and belongings.
• Intervenes safely when patients pose risk, under RN direction.
• Responds to call lights, provides transport, maintains clean environment and infection control.
• Maintains and documents safety checks and vital signs.
