Job summary

WestCare Foundation is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician supervisor for our Florida program. The role involves supervising technician duties, coordinating consumer activities, and ensuring safety within the residential setting.

You will assist medical staff, facilitate groups, and document incidents and logs to support quality care. Eligible candidates will have a BCHT certification (or pursuing), a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensure required within 6 months of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor preferred.
• 1 year of experience in substance abuse treatment or related field.
• Bilingual in English and another language preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification and TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise behavioral health technician job functions and coordinate activities.
• Assist medical staff with supervising observed self-medication procedures.
• Coordinate consumer trips to hospital and appointments.
• Facilitate orientation groups and house meetings.
• Conduct and document incident reports and grievances.
• Maintain safety and security of the facility and supervise consumer work program.
